Hello,
I've just received a BP2 and wonder where the best documentation for it is located ?
I have a lot of experience with PIC assembler on 12F,16F,18F(k) etc and PicBasic Pro, some C and embedded basic, so I'm hoping for a smooth learning curve. An example of a device I set up is here [groups.yahoo.com]
It is for that project that I bought the BP2. I have a WiFly UART to WiFi interface and once initialised I expect to have it spitting out RSS feeds (just fomratted xml files) and possibly twitter feeds. I will want the BP2 to control the WiFly through one UART and then strip out the salient parts from the data stream, EG subject lines and body text and send the data as another serial stream to the 'smartsockets' to make a scrolling nixie display showing twitter updates and so on.
What I hope to be able to do with the BP2, is for it to boot up and read a file off an SD card containing the configuration instructions for the WiFly module and intialise it. Then look for a URL to get the RSS feed.
But first things first, some reading needs to be done !

sounds like an interesting project. Hopefully the learning curve should be shallow as any ambiguous situations can be resolved by using the interactive features. I am not sure if it is relevant but the WiFi SD Card “FlashAir” works with the ByPic filing system.
