BV COM2 Baud rate?

Hello -

I have built a BP1 and it all seems to behave as it should using BVserial. When I try to use BV COM2 following your video tutorial however, I cannot seem to get the keyboard to behave.

If I set the Baud rate to 115200 as suggested, I get multiple repeats of the characters I type. I can use the DTR button to reset the processor and that works fine.

If I slow down the Baud rate (say) to 9600, I get garbage (e.g. [84][84][94][ce][c8]) across the screen whatever I try to type and DTR fails to reset the processor - I just get similar garbage to that described above.

If I slow it down further to (say) 1200 Baud, the keyboard works just fine but DTR will still not reset, and with similar garbage being echoed.

This is the case for both a wired and wireless keyboard which are normally trouble free. Why should this terminal be at odds with BV serial?

I'm using a HP DC5700 PC with all standard internals and 32 bit Windows 7. I never have any problems with anything else I run.

Any ideas?

Could it be that you have echo switched on? menu>Serial>echo

Yep. Simple, I guess. I must have missed that in the instructions.

Thanks for your help.
