BV 4221-V2 as an I2C programmer

I'm hoping I can use this interface to program some SMD EEPROMs in situ. Does anyone know of any suitable software which will work with this host adaptor ?

There is some experimental Python code here which may have some pointers. I am currently looking at Python GUI so there may be more later.
