Hi, Before I start from scratch, Has anyone used the enc28j60 ethernet module and got working code? e.g. Thanks Jonby jon1977 - ByPic
Although I had to change the constant from 12 to 7 to get a more acurate measurement. Jonby jon1977 - ByPic
That works great, thanks. I started playing with this code earlier in the year. I guess that guide wasnt on the site then! Cheers Jonby jon1977 - ByPic
I'm trying to implemet code on a BV500 for this device. I have it working on a Partical Core micro, so I know it works. The issue is timing in microseconds, and specifically how I deal with that in the bypic language. pseudo code: Setup an output pin (called trigger) Setup an input pin (called echo) Start with trigger low Send a 10us (microsecond) high trigger pulse Read duration thby jon1977 - ByPic
Cheers, that all seems to work, A couple of typos: // #include "; has too many m's on the .com and is missing a w on the www jonby jon1977 - ByPic
I've bought a BV500 to play with. I've previously played with a BV507 with some success, but wanted a simpler IC for a smaller project. I've started going through the tutorials, and can get hello world to work so all the basic wiring and coms are ok: but I'm struggling when I get the output test to work. I have the latest version of BVserial downloaded today. The file: downby jon1977 - ByPic
initial response is positive. The reset on R4 went well. i could then get on as an access point. I then set SSID, password, IP, gateway and port, and now: wf_start(1) returns, OK print wifiCheck() returns 1 OK and print wifi$("info") returns lots of settings. I've tried some comouts and comread functions between bvserial and a terminal window directed at the BV507 wifi addressby jon1977 - ByPic
Hi, I've checked I've got 5V at the modules VIN, the red led blinks and then extinguishes and I see a small blue LED on the underside of the wifi module which flashes a couple of times if the module is power cycled, but not if it is reset with .r I fall at the first command I think wf_start(1) gives the reply: There is no communication with the wifi ok If I do: print wifiCheck() I gby jon1977 - ByPic
Hi, I'm not getting the responses that I'm expecting using Bvserial. I'm connected to the BV507, and it is responding to commands. D4 is installed. Basically I've fixed the wrong Ip address and Gateway. I believe that I need to firstly type: wf_start(1) otherwise, I get error 57, no com port But I still get the response: There is no communication with the wifi If I then type: printby jon1977 - ByPic
Hi, is it possible to rested the Wifi module on the BV507? I've inadvertently got the settings wrong, and I need to get it back to be an Access point to rectify. Ref this page: It says I need to short GPI00 to ground for 10 seconds, but as far as I can tell when mounted on the touch panel there is no access to GPI00. I can not see a button or wire. I also can not see how to update firmwarby jon1977 - ByPic
ok cheers. Shame it cant work with the existing flash. I'll probably go down the external EEprom route, or fix an ID in the firmware. Maybe consider for future upgrades if it is physically possible? Jonby jon1977 - ByPic
Hi, I would like to use the BV507 in a multidrop network terminal like application. To do this, I would like to assign an ID, using the keypad so I can later 'address' one BV507 in a multidrop RS485 network. I could program each BV507 with a fixed / hidden ID, but I would like to set this using the LCD & keypad locally and save it so it is stored on power cycle. I see that I should be aby jon1977 - ByPic
