Just received new bv500 using mx170 and does not load rookie1 needs rookie3. good changes, but rookie1 firmware will not load and code needs to be changed! Can rookie1 be made to be used on 170 as same registers?by TCKsteve - BV500
Seems there are no more bv501's for sale ???? I had a good working working program on this and was about to put it into a nice box...by TCKsteve - BV500
Unfortunately I have tried "\" and now have tried .loopbreak with two seperate USB/serials. Using .loopbreak I get: tmp = r - then numbers similar to above. There is no backlight on the LCD screen/display, the Bypic firmware code is not working to give a prompt.by TCKsteve - BV500
The bv501 limitation is the flash memory size - but how do you fix a flsave("") that has exceed limit and the BV501 will not reboot? All I get are some hex numbers when it is reset so I cannot clear the Flash using flclear(0). I think I am a couple of lines too much code!! r[06]9T(nr[06]9T(nr[06]9T nr[06]9T(nr[06]9T nr[06]9T nr[06]9T(nr[06]=P nr[06]=T nr[06]9P nr[06]9P nr[06]9T nr[0by TCKsteve - BV500
AhAH! type in .h to get help then .baud to change baud rate! But how many adc channels are available (which pins) for the bv501.... I need 4 ADC and 4 digital.by TCKsteve - BV500
BV501 display/keyboard is working OK but would like to update ATFlash - the BVserial available (on link to picchips) defaults to 9600 baud when COM is selected and should be 115000....? Is there an alternative to load .upm BFF and BMP files using something like BV_com2? Which pins can be used for ADC on the I/O socket and which achannels supported? (ADC0-9 are used by keypad)by TCKsteve - BV500
RB8 and RB9 are 5 v tolerant...... LCD needs 5 volts and 4k7 resistors to pull up to 5 vby TCKsteve - ByPic
The problem may be 5v vs 3.3 volt supply? i2c coms is ok when using 3.3 volts but when 5 volts is connected to P018 and LCD there is no coms.by TCKsteve - ByPic
Many thanks - I can get the i2c address ok, adjust brightness but the unit does not display characters: a faulty LCD? function lcd_text(s$[30]) dim j i2c_start(112) i2c_putc(3) // data command for j = 0 to strlen(s$)-1 i2c_putc(asc(s$,j)) next i2c_putc(13) // *** must terminate data send with 13 *** i2c_stop() endf function hi() dim x x = i2c_fiby TCKsteve - ByPic
